Mike Stone, MD

Dr. Mike Stone is board-certified in emergency medicine and practiced as an emergency physician for twenty years. He holds a degree in Biology from Brown University, earned his MD at New York University School of Medicine, and served as an Associate Professor at Harvard Medical School and UCSF, where he was recognized with national awards for education, innovation, and leadership.

Two decades in the emergency department taught him that almost nothing that arrives there is truly sudden. Most catastrophic disease develops silently, over years in which aggressive prevention would have changed everything, but nobody was looking. He founded Pillars to be the team that looks: one group of clinicians who own the whole picture of a client's health, over years, with no competing incentives.
